  The GX700 includes the USA marine channel plan and is designed to meet FCC marine VHF requirements. Recreational vessels operating solely within U.S. waters typically do not require an FCC licence to operate a marine VHF radio.

• Canada:
  The GX700 includes the Canadian marine channel plan and can operate on Canadian marine VHF frequencies. Operation in Canadian waters may require the operator to hold an appropriate radio operator certificate, in accordance with local regulations.
